2020 Annual Summit
We invite CAC2 members and guests to attend our 8th Annual Summit via a special on-line event on Friday, July 17, 2020. The Meetings Team has designed a carefully curated two-hour version of our traditional Annual Summit accessible to all that will include Q&A with new COG Chair Dr. Doug Hawkins and an illuminating conversation about the upcoming implementation of the RACE Act. We will conclude the session with our Annual Members-Only Business Meeting.
Please join us on Friday, July 17, 2020, for a consolidated two-hour virtual program that will be packed full of engaging and time-sensitive material.
We are highly sensitive to the reality that folks are tired of virtual meetings, so our meeting team is working overtime to ensure that our program respects your time and covers only the most essential components of the robust agenda we had planned.
Nothing can substitute for the incredible value that we all gain when we gather in person. However, we also recognize that travel and cost has prevented some from attending past meetings. If that’s been the case for you, we are especially hopeful you’ll make it a priority to join us for this free virtual program on July 17th.
Commit to attend and participate by registering today!

Business Meeting – Members Only
We will hold our annual business meeting and important board elections and governance proposals in this abbreviated meeting.
The CAC2 Board of Directors would like to emphasize how much we are counting on you to join us on July 17th. The Business Meeting portion of our agenda is mandated by our by-laws and requires strong Member participation to conduct business. Additionally, this year’s Business Meeting is especially critical, as we must work together to tackle the issue of long-term leadership succession planning.
Important Note: In place of the ever-popular and essential Interest Group Break-Out Sessions, we are offering on-line break-out sessions for each Interest Group this summer!
NEW ‘Summer Series’ Program:
If you’ve joined us at past Summits, you will know that we always schedule time for our Interest Groups to shine the spotlight on what they have accomplished during the year and what they would like to work on in the upcoming year. In the interest of keeping the core content of the virtual Summit as succinct as possible, we have decided to conduct those breakout sessions separate from the Summit this year by launching Summer Series 2020, so our three Interest Group Pillars (Research & Treatment, Advocacy & Awareness, and Family Support & Survivorship) can connect with members in a more fun and interactive way than just reading a report out.
CAC2 will be featuring a virtual engagement session for each Interest Group over this summer:
– Advocacy & Awareness (June)
– Research & Treatment (July)
– Family Support & Survivorship (August)
We hope you will plan to join one or more of these Summer Series sessions to help advance the projects of your preferred Interest Group(s). Please stay tuned for more details on the Summer Series, including dates and registration.
