The Hope Portal is a free, continually-updated directory of curated childhood cancer family support organizations.
Newly updated in 2018, this robust patient support tool will allow childhood cancer families across the country to find support faster, with less effort, and in a more personalized way than ever before. Discover which nonprofits serve your diagnosis, need, & location.
Are You Interested in Having Your Resource Listed?
To be included as a resource on the HOPE Portal, organizations simply submit their contact email address and the Hope Portal team will follow up. Each application is carefully reviewed by a team composed of representatives from CAC2 and the HOPE Portal. Organizations can anticipate that it may take approximately a month for an application to be approved, depending on the number of applications under review at any time.
Visit the help page for further information on getting started.

Claim my Organization
Claiming your organization does two things:
- Ensures accuracy: Users search the Hope Portal by need, location and/or diagnosis — and we want to make sure they find you if they’re searching for what you offer.
- Boosts your ranking: Organizations that have claimed their listing receive priority in the site’s algorithm.
We want to provide the best possible resource for the community and hope you will help us make it even better by claiming and customizing your organization’s listing.
How do I claim and customize my organization’s page?
- Click this link to go to your profile on the Hope Portal: https://anddit.com/orgs
- Click the “Claim this Page” button at the top of the page. You’ll be asked to signup by entering your email address associated with your organization.
- Once logged in, select “Edit My Organization” from the sidebar.
Claiming and customizing will let you add an eye-catching banner photo, specify your location and how you help families, and also highlight what you are best known for!
Embed the Hope Portal on Your Own Website
So that the families you work with can find help more easily, we have created code so that you can embed the Hope Portal in your own website and visitors can access it there rather than navigating away from your site. You can use the instructions and code at this link:
Use and Share the Hope Portal
Please share the Hope Portal with patient families who need support in financial and non-financial areas using any of the following options:
- By embedding the portal on your organization’s website,
- By sending them directly to hope-portal.org, or
- By sending them to https://cac2.org/family-resources/
Feel free to direct patients and health care professionals to the Hope Portal, to share the site on social media, and to invite other organizations you know submit their listing for inclusion.
Please let us know if you are interested in us mailing you a set of Hope Portal postcards for you to share with the hospitals you serve or with patient families in your network.
Locating trustworthy information and support resources on the Internet can be challenging and time-consuming for families, especially when they are in crisis. We are grateful to The Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for being among the first to recognize and tackle this issue. With generous support from the Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities, the first HOPE Web Portal was launched in 2005 with the goal of organizing vetted resources to help young patients with cancer and blood diseases. Today, the Hope Portal is offered to you through a generous partnership with CAC2, APOSW, APHON, and KBI BioPharma.
