The CAC2 Summit and Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 25, in conjunction with Childhood Cancer Action Days on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. with an opening reception on Tuesday evening, June 24.

The Henley Park is about a block away from Microsoft.  It has given us a rate of $209.00/night for s standard room with one Queen bed. The maximum occupancy for this room is 2 people. This room rate extends to arriving on June 24th & leaving on June 26th. The Washington Plaza has given us these rate options (taxes not included):   Single rate:  $229/night; Double: $259.00/night; $20.00 for each additional adult staying in the same room with existing bedding.  Children under 17 years may share the same room with parents at no additional charge.  These rates extend to arriving on June 24th and leaving on June 26.  Please mention Coalition Against Childhood Cancer when you call in to get the above rate.  Reservations must be made by May 25, 2014 to guarantee rates.
For those CAC2 Members who are coming in for the Alliance Awareness Days, June 23 & 24 and are staying at the Residence Inn Marriott in old Town Alexandria, the hotel has agreed to extend their room rate through June 26th (although the link doesn’t reflect that). The Holiday Inn Capitol has extended its Action Day room block to include days of the CAC2 summit.  This valid from June 23-25 and starting at $224/night.  Please book by May 23 using the group code STB

If you plan to commute from the Residence Inn Marriott by Metro, FYI: KingStreet/Old Town Metro, yellow line to MT. Vernon Squ/7th Street/Convention Center (4-5 block walk). The commute will be during rush hour and will the train ride will be approximately 25 minutes or more. Then you will have the walking time to get to the King Street Metro Station as well as the walking time to get from the Metro Station to Microsoft.

If you are staying elsewhere and take the red, orange or blue lines, you can get off at Metro Center and will have a 5-6 block walk to Microsoft.
