The immunotherapy drug blinatumomab (Blincyto) is already a standard treatment for some people with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Following positive results from a large clinical trial, it’s now expected to become part of the standard initial treatment for many children with the disease.

Last year, Congress left kids with cancer behind. Today, 64 CAC2 member organizations joined over a dozen other organizations urging the new Congress to make them the first order of business. As the new legislative year begins we are closely monitoring developments on Capital Hill and within key federal agencies. We continue to believe children with cancer have waited long enough, and that it’s time to finish the job. Please share our CAC2 Letter to Congressional Leadership with #CancelChildhoodCancer and#KidsDeserveBetter on social media to show your support.

Researchers from Michigan strongly urge you to reach out to your US House Representatives and US Senators regarding the attack on the NIH and US academic research institutions.  The specific new policy of reducing NIH grant indirect funds to 15% is economically disastrous for the country.  It is super important to advocate to your elected officials to oppose this policy, and to work to reverse it.
