CAC2 Supporting Member Day One Biopharmaceutical and Ipsen unveiled an ex-U.S. licensing agreement for tovorafenib (approved as Ojemda in the U.S.) in pediatric low-grade glioma (pLGG) and “any future indications developed by Day One” outside the U.S.
Several CAC2 Members contributed to the recently published manuscript that was produced by the ACCELERATE Paediatric Strategy Forum for Medicinal Product Development of PI3 K-inhibitors.

Charles Limoli presented on the use of FLASH radiotherapy for quicker treatment delivery that spares normal tissue and improves outcomes at the International Symposium on Pediatric Neuro-Oncology.
To address this year’s theme: “Childhood Cancer Stigma and Communications,” Childhood Cancer International held two open webinars that tackled different issues related to childhood cancer and survivorship. Two CAC2 members, Board Member and survivor Mariah Forster Olson (Neuroblastoma Children’s Cancer Society) and Anna Sorkin (Individual Member) served as panelists.
Take Action:
The FDA and CTTI announced the call for applications for new members of the Patient Engagement Collaborative (PEC). The PEC is an ongoing, shared forum in which the patient community (PEC members), FDA, and CTTI discuss a variety of topics such as improving communication, education, and patient engagement related to medical product regulation.
CAC2 Member the Children’s Cancer Cause announced that the organization is accepting applications for its 2024 Survivorship Champion’s Prize. This $10,000 annual award is presented to a group, program or institution making significant advances in programs and services to provide life-long health maintenance for survivors of pediatric cancers.
CAC2 Student Member Na Ouyang, MSN, RN (PhD candidate, Yale School of Nursing) is conducting her dissertation study, which focuses on exploring how clinician-parent communication influences parents’ preparation for their child’s end-of-life and then impacts parental grief in early bereavement.
