Keeping Your Eyes Healthy

Radiation to the brain, eye, or eye socket during treatment for childhood cancer can have a long-lasting effect on the eyes. Radioiodine treatment and chronic graft-versus-host disease can also affect the eyes. Vision can significantly impact daily living, so survivors who receive these treatments should regularly check their eyes.
