CAC2 Survivorship Toolkit Promotions Kit

Please join the Coalition Against Childhood Cancer (CAC2) in a community effort to share the CAC2 Survivorship Toolkit starting on January 19.

The CAC2 Survivorship Toolkit provides education and resources for childhood cancer survivors and families. Empowered with important information – all in one place – families and survivors can better appreciate potential long-term side effects of the cancer experience for the entire family and learn what is possible to improve everyone’s quality of life.

Everyone is invited to borrow and adapt any of the following messages and/or graphics for use in promoting CAC2 Survivorship Toolkit.

Here you will find social media images and sample postings, a printable infocard and information sheet, and sample email, newsletter articles, and introduction you can use on a website to link to the toolkit. Today, approximately 500,000 people in the United States have survived childhood cancer. Yet, more than 95% of those survivors will have a significant health problem related to their childhood cancer diagnosis or its treatment by age 45. Improved treatments for childhood cancer have decreased the number of deaths from the primary cancer, but because survivors are living longer they are experiencing more late effects after cancer treatment.  Survivors and their families have struggled with fear and isolation as they contend with late effects on their own. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
